In my experience, the wizard special mission (and many other challenges) can be easily beaten with 2-3 dark monkeys with the specialty building. The damage-cost ratio is amazing, and all shots pierce a few times. Thank you so very much for getting the platinum on BTD5 console edition, it truly is amazing.

For those looking to try and take on this challenge in the comments--one thing that may help is to try and do the torch God event as early as possible. Then torches you place will change to the biome you're in and will increase your luck.
